Summer Term
The 1st half of our term will be taken up with our production. Alongside this we will be running a mini topic called "A Load of rubbish," during which time we will investigate recycling, reusing and reducing the mountains of rubbish in our environment.
Linking with this topic, our Literacy will focus on the book "The Paper Bag Prince", which is set in a rubbish dump.

Our topics for the second half of this term include:
Science- Animal Habitats
We will be taking a trip to Marwell Zoo at the end of the half term to coincide with this.
Also, we will be spending some time studying the Rainforest!

PSHE- we will be carrying on with circle time and our class pet will be going home with those children who are voted student of the week.
RE will encourage us to notice the different religions in our locality, and enable us to think about how similar/different they are to our own beliefs.

PE- We will be practising athletic skills this term which will include throwing/catching, running, skipping and striking games.
Children will need to bring their trainers as we will be outside, weather permitting.
....And with a bit of luck, Miss Beer will arrange for our expert football coaches to come in and help us develop our ball skills as well as team tactics.

Drama....of course, during the 1st half of our term we will be working on our production. This will allow those acting talents to shine through, as well as developing the musical abilities we have worked on throughout the year. Proud parents are invited to watch the show on the Wednesday and Thursday afternoon, leading up to half term.
